Houston Black-Owned Businesses (@HouBlkBus) was created by Asheli S. Atkins, MBA  to highlight Black entrepreneurs in and around Houston, Texas. As a business consultant and PhD student studying race, ethnicity, and entrepreneurship, Asheli realized the need for a more in-depth approach to supporting businesses: to promote, educate, and advocate. This includes focusing on the individuals behind the brands through free online promotion, video marketing opportunities, and access to resources for business development and sustainability.
